Trofeo is a habit-tracking app designed around a powerful truth: people follow through on their commitments when there’s accountability and real stakes involved. Trofeo uses financial pledges and social commitment to turn intentions into consistent action - helping users build habits that last and eliminate those that hold them back.
The idea was born from Ahmad’s personal experience while studying abroad. He wanted to build a daily reading habit, so he promised a friend he’d donate $20 to charity each time he failed. The combination of accountability to a real person and money on the line drove an immediate shift in consistency - and eventually the habit became enjoyable, not forced.
Trofeo transforms this behavioral insight into a polished, mobile-first experience. Its design is fueled by modern interaction patterns, playful micro-animations, and progress visuals that keep habit-building both intuitive and rewarding.
Trofeo’s design process blended behavioral psychology, gamified motivation systems, and visual progress tracking to encourage long-term habit formation. Every screen was built with a balance of simplicity, energy, and personal momentum.
The experience is grounded in three primary design principles:
Social comparison and friend-based commitment drive motivation.
A leaderboard and visible progress create shared responsibility and healthy competition.
Fast, Swipe-Driven Daily Actions
Completing or missing habits should feel effortless.
A Tinder-like swipe interaction makes daily check-ins satisfying and rapid.
Visual Motivation through Data
Progress isn’t just tracked - it’s celebrated.
Graphs, streak indicators, and success metrics give users momentum and pride.
This app was fully designed in Adobe XD, with responsive components and animated interactions throughout the product.
Swipe to Succeed (or Fail)
Daily execution lives on the Home screen - swipe right for success, left for failure.
No taps or searching for goals - just instinctive engagement.
Friends & Leaderboards
Users stay committed because others are watching.
You can see friend rankings, check-ins, and how many financial pledges have been paid out.
Goal Analytics
Progress graphs and habit-specific details help users identify patterns over time.
Users can create, edit, or remove goals seamlessly.
Financial Accountability
If a user fails a habit, money is automatically pledged to a friend - a meaningful incentive not to break the streak.
Friendly Competition & Encouragement
Motivational prompts and social features make self-improvement feel communal rather than lonely.
